Welcome to the Czech Republic! Meet your private driver for your transfer into the historic centre of Prague. Enjoy the day wandering and discovering Prague as you explore the sights and take in a Christmas Market. The aromas from the stalls at the markets will entice you to have a bite here and there.

Marvel at Prague Castle, an historic architectural icon both inside and out. The largest castle complex in the world is a treasure trove of stories, let your guide walk you through the best ones. Later in the evening, experience the magic of Prague at Christmas on a food walking tour, indulge in the specialities of Prague and the season. So much to try and savour, there is enough to call it dinner!

Prague Castle Walking Tour, 2.5 HR: Meet your guide and start exploring the city. Pass the Lesser Town Square and onto the Castle, all the while listening to the stories of its history. Afterwards, it is on to St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague’s largest cathedral, and where kings and queens were crowned.You will also see St. George’s church on this tour. See the Old Royal Palace with its magnificent Vladislav Hall. Tour ends with the Golden Lane and the tales of locals. You can spend time after the tour at the Christmas Market at the castle.

Prague Advent Evening Walking Tour, 3.5 HR: Tour the markets with an emphasis on local delicacies offered there. Enjoy snacks and drinks – enough for a full meal! The small size of the group (10 persons) make navigating this tour of the markets very enjoyable.

Explore Prague today by wandering the Old Town Square, watch the Astronomical Clock strike the hour, cross the Charles Bridge or tour the Jewish Cemetery. Late afternoon, it’s time for another “icon,” the beer of the Czech Republic! Start the tour for a tasting and find out just what makes Czech beer known the world over.

Czech Beer Tasting Tour, 1.5 HR:  Enjoy an evening with an introduction to beer brewing in Prague. Taste upwards of 7 different popular Czech beers.

This morning board a train for the journey to Austria. As you arrive in Vienna, you can almost hear the melodic tones of a Johann Strauss waltz. City of music, dance and Imperial traditions, Vienna boasts a classic town centre. Begin the evening with a private carriage ride through the historic centre and as twilight sets in, notice the lights appearing brighter. Timing is perfect for wandering and exploring a Viennese Christmas Market.

Vienna Carriage Ride, 45 minutes: Experience the historic heart of Vienna, lit with its Christmas lights and decorations, from the horse-drawn carriage. Pass by the Imperial Palace and St. Stephen’s Cathedral.

The history of Vienna awaits you on a Highlights of Vienna walking tour. Hear tales of history, culture and famous residents, past the Hofburg Palace, the Town Hall, the Vienna State Opera House and Graben Street to name a few. The tour ends at St. Stephen’s Cathedral where your guide will take you through the history of this magnificent architectural marvel from the outside. Your package includes entrance tickets to the cathedral, so you can explore on your own after the tour.

Classic Vienna Walking Tour, 2.5 HR: Get an overview of the city on this tour so you know where you wish to explore further. Hear all about the city’s history, culture & famous residents. Pass by the museums around Maria-Theresin-Platz, the neo-gothic Town Hall, and the Austrian Parliament Building. Continue to the public park, Volksgarten, Heros Square, and the Hofburg Palace. Explore Buggarten, the former emperor’s private garden, and the Augustinian Church.  On your way to St. Stephen’s Cathedral, pass by the Vienna State Opera House and the Graben shopping street. A ticket is included to explore the cathedral on your own.

Begin your day in royal fashion at Schönbrunn Palace, the summer residence of the Hapsburgs with over 1400 rooms. Built to rival Versailles, the opulence of the palace greets you as you enter. After the tour, a demonstration, by a pastry chef ‘at home’ in the original kitchen of the palace performs the fine art of apple strudel making, a pastry dating back over 300 years. When Chef is done, enjoy a slice and take the recipe home with hopes of recreating it for friends and family

Schonbrunn Palace Tour: Built to rival Versailles in France, this palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hear about the palace’s  and the royals’ history as you marvel at the Baroque architecture. The palace has 1400 rooms and was meant to be a summer residence only. After, in the palace’s Cafe Residenz, you will enjoy a demonstration pf strudel-making before partaking of the same witha cup of coffee. Your transfer back to the hotel is included,

The Belvedere Palace, a stunning Baroque complex, houses some of the greatest art pieces dating from medieval times. The 19C Austrian artist Gustav Klimt is known for his painting The Kiss on display in the Belvedere. The second most popular site in Europe for proposals is in front of this highly decorative painting. The museum is home to several of Klimt’s works as well as artists such as Van Gogh and Monet. Museum entrance tickets included in your package. Later in the day, why not visit sites such as the Riesenrad in the Prater, the world’s oldest Ferris wheel and board a boxcar, see the Lipizzaner Stallions (advance tickets required) or take in a concert at the Vienna State Opera House (advance tickets required), visit a museum or dine in a restaurant that served Beethoven, Mozart and Pavarotti. Take in a coffee house, perhaps the one frequented by Sigmund Freud. Soak up the atmosphere that is Vienna.

Belvedere Palace Tour: Visit one of the leading museums of the world to view masterpieces ranging from the Middle Ages until present day.

This morning board a train for your visit to the third European gem on this journey, Hungary. It’s capitol Budapest will captivate you with the meandering Danube and medieval bridges connecting Buda and Pest. The history, culture and culinary delights will intrigue you. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the Hungarian Parliament, the third largest parliament in Europe. This Gothic Revival masterpiece features a centre hall, courtyards, gates, staircases and 691
rooms detailed with 88 pounds of gold and half a million semi-precious stones. Using the word magnificent as a description may be an understatement. The outside of the Hungarian Parliament Building is best seen on a one-hour Danube cruise when the city comes alive with lights and colours of the season.

Budapest Parliament Tour, 1.5 HR: This is Hungary’s largest building. Accompanied by a specialised guide, explore the 16-sided central hall and marvel at its impressive staircase. View the Crown Jewels including the “Holy Crown” and listen to the story of its incredible history.

Danube Cruise, 1 HR: No visit to Budapest would be complete without cruising the Danube along its UNESCO-listed riverbanks, past the Parliament Buildings and under the illuminated Chain Bridge. Delight in the lights of the city with added Christmas cheer.

On your Hop on, Hop off bus tour, explore what makes Budapest so charming with choices such as Fisherman’s Bastion, with it’s unforgettable views and fairy tale atmosphere or take a dip in the Széchenyi Thermal Baths, a unique experience in winter. Perhaps visit Buda Castle, home to a museum, art gallery and library, or if indoor food exploring is for you, visit the Great Market Hall, so impressive they even have guided tours. This is a five-star hotel, previously an Art Noveau palace, and set in the historical center of Prague near the Old Town Square. It is perfectly situated near Charles bridge, Wencelas Square, and Parizska Street (designer shops).

You’ll be comfortable in this 4-star hotel and handy to all the sights. Situated in Vienna’s historic centre, it is almost next door to St. Stephen’s Cathedral – a perfect spot to enjoy the markets and city highlights. Though it began operation in 1850, the rooms are modern and up-to-date.

Hotel Moments

This hotel is located on Andrassy Avenue near the Hungarian State Opera House, and perfectly situated to enjoy the main shopping street in Budapest. Though built over a hundred years ago, the rooms are contemporary and it sports the Bistro Fine with unusual decor.
